Google launches Connected Classrooms initiative for virtual field trips

The initiative will let students “visit” locations ranging from the Seattle Aquarium and American Museum of Natural History to the International Space Station.

Kelly Christopherson‘s insight:

This is a new venture where classes can sign up to take virtual tours. It looks like it will be a place for teachers and classrooms to connect and may provide an avenue for teachers who have been reluctant to get involved with being connected.
